Why am I receiving a new plate with my renewal order?

As stipulated by the Florida DMV, license plates must be replaced every 6-10 years. This is to ensure that the plate remains clearly visible for law enforcement and cameras. You must fix the new plate and decal or sticker onto your vehicle and dispose of your old plate, or return it to your local tax collector.
